Hi Toros! I am happy to be part of the DH family and support students’ academic and professional goals. I was born in El Salvador and raised in Los Angeles. I love L.A.! I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After dedicating six years to the nonprofit sector, I decided to continue my education. At CSU Northridge I earned my Master of Science in Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services credential. Before coming to CSUDH, I worked as a high school counselor for six years. I truly enjoy supporting students and hope to be able to make a difference in your life. When I’m not working, I like to hike, read, explore L.A., and spend time with my son, Aidan, and family.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles and received a B.A. in History with a Latin American Studies minor from Occidental College. I completed my graduate work here at CSUDH, attaining a Master’s Degree in Education with a Counseling emphasis, a PPS and CWA credential, and a College Counseling Certificate. I am proud to continue my professional career as a Toro and excited to be part of the ETE program, where I look forward to helping students reach their full potential. Outside of work, I like to spend my time being a nerd by watching the History Channel, cooking, and spending time with my loved ones.
