How Does Registration Work?

Continuing Students

Here's how the registration process works:

  • Priority Registration begins with a fixed time frame based upon your student type, called a registration "appointment." It is the best opportunity to select your classes with the widest options for dates and times to meet your schedule.
  • Before registration begins, each eligible student will receive an email from the University Registrar letting you know your registration appointment times are available via Check out our Registration Information page for more details.
  • You can view registration information by logging into your account and clicking on the Student Center tab. Check it regularly to see when your appointment for registration has been set.
  • It is very important to review all the information, to take the appropriate action to correct inaccurate information, and to seek advising or clear other holds several working days prior to your registration appointment date and time.
  • You won't be able to register before your appointment time, but you can register any time after your appointment time.
  • Check your ToroMail regularly for important registration related information.

Registration and Add/Drop Dates

Fall 2017

  • Registration Dates: April 24- August 18, 2017
  • Late Registration/Add Drop: August 19- September 7, 2017

Spring 2018

  • Registration Dates: October 16, 2017 - January 19, 2018
  • Late Registration Add/Drop Dates: January 20, 2018 - February 8, 2018

New Students

Newly admitted Freshmen and Transfer students will register for classes during New Student Orientation. (Hint: The earlier you attend orientation, the better choice of classes you will have.)
