Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Training

Information for PIs, Students and Postdoctoral Fellows on NSF-Required RCR Training

All California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) students and postdoctoral researchers supported by the NSF are required to complete the no-cost on-line RCR training offered by the CITI. The name of the course is Basic Responsible Conduct of Research. 

Timing

Each student or postdoctoral fellow engaged in research supported by NSF shall complete the CMDITR RCR course within three months of joining the project.  

Time Required

Overall, about three hours may be required to complete the entire course.  

How to register for CITI

 Please note that the IRB Office requires a minimum score of 80% on the final score and the scores of all the individual modules.

  • All modules do not have to be completed during a single online session. To re-enter the course, remember to SAVE your username and password.
  • After completing your course, save a copy of the Completion Report and route it to your faculty member.  The faculty member will submit the reports to Graduate Studies and Research on a project basis.
