The CSUDH Department of Graduate Studies and Research is pleased to announce the launch of the annual Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity (RSCA) Awards Program for the 2023-24 academic year. This intramural faculty research grant program is intended to support faculty research, scholarship, and creative activity, interpreted broadly to mean the disciplined quest for broadening human understanding.
This opportunity is open to all members of Unit 3. Applicants should request one of three possible categories of awards:
1) 3 WTUs of reassigned time to be utilized in either Fall 2023 or Spring 2024;
2) Summer salary support, to be utilized during Summer 2023; or
3) Mini-grants to purchase materials and supplies, travel to conduct research, and/or purchase equipment.
To encourage mentoring of students who engage in faculty-led RSCA projects, applicants may also request up to $1,500 in supplemental funding for student assistantship and/or student travel to present at a professional conference or meeting.

Grants for My Research (GMR) is CSUDH’s grant proposal development program that aims to equip faculty with the tools required for the development and submission of competitive extramural grant proposals. This program is designed to provide faculty with resources for research development and idea refinement, editorial and writing support, grantspersonship, and mentoring for the timely submission of high-quality extramural grant proposals. Overall, GMR will support faculty in their efforts to achieve success in research, scholarly, and creative activities for tenure and promotion.

NTTF Research Development Program is a new program (started in Summer 2021) at CSUDH that aims to support non-tenure track faculty (NTTF) who are eager to strengthen their research* portfolio, but need resources, guidance, and mentoring to get started. Strengthening research portfolios may include submission of manuscripts and other research products including competitive extramural grant proposals.
The NTTF Research Development Program consists of a one-day Online Research Portfolio Workshop, held in the summer, where NTTF will:
